Emergency Relocation

With gangs just miles from the home, it has become necessary to relocate immediately. For the past week, our staff in Haiti has carefully searched out possible places for relocation. Safely relocating everyone will take strategic planning.

Our head staff has found a home outside of the area where we are now. We are currently near a police station, which is the very thing we need to be away from at this time. The gangs continue to invade police stations as one of their main targets.

For us to safely transport the kids and staff out of the home, staff will have to make multiple trips by motorcycle. There's no way for us to move with our vehicles and belongings. They will only be able to take what they can carry. The only route they can take requires paying their way out. They have to pay the gangs and hope to get through without any issues. This will require our team to leave everything behind.

This campaign goes directly to their immediate needs. We have set the goal to be 20k, but if we exceed that, it will be greatly beneficial. The more funds they can receive sooner, the better. Gangs have recently invaded banks and grocery stores. Last week our staff went to get food at the market and it was difficult to find the bare necessities as the political conditions have impacted everything. The more they can purchase now, they can leverage it to last longer. The home that was found is 10k and the remaining 10k goes towards immediate expenses for food, beds, kitchen appliances, etc. 

Above all else, your prayers matter the most. God has protected our staff and children this far and we believe that will continue to be the case, especially as we prepare for this. Pray that our staff have wisdom in evacuating the kids and that there will be peace when conversing with the gangs to get through.
